Earthquakes: Week overview 11 December - 17 December

Over 300 earthquakes were detected by the IMO's seismic network in this week, considerably fewer than in the previous week when around 500 earthquakes were recorded. The largest earthquake occurred 16 December at 02:41 in the Bárðarbunga Caldera, M3.5. Less activity was in Öræfajökull this week than last week and the earthquake swarm in Skjaldbreið ended.
