Around 518 earthquakes were located by the IMO's SIL seismic network this week, around 100 more than in the week before. No earthquakes were larger than M3,0, but the largest earthquake was M2,9 in Bárðarbunga caldera on January 4th at 01:52 am. Just over 60 earthquakes were measured in Mýrdalsjökull caldera, thereof 5 within 10 min on January 4th at 22:52 ¿ 22:59. The largest one was measured 1,8 at 22:55. Around 40 small earthquakes were detected in Öræfajökull volcano.
