Earthquakes: Week overview 8 January - 14 January

Around 220 earthquakes were detected last week by the SIL seismic network at the Icelandic Meteorological Office. The largest earthquake of last week was of magnitude M2.8 in Bárðarbunga on January 10th. Only 6 earthquakes were detected in Öræfajökull, the largest one of magnitude M1.0. Two small earthquakes were detected in Mt. Hekla last week.
